Asya Igmen

Asya pursued her Political Science undergraduate degree at Brown University, where she nurtured her passion for public health and development. At LBS, Asya is an active member of the healthcare community, having serves as Lead for the Thought Leadership vertical in her first year, and interned at Mendelian (a London-based rare disease health tech start-up) and Eli Lilly (a leading pharmaceutical company).

Before LBS, Asya was a healthcare best practice researcher at the Advisory Board, a thought leadership analyst at Kite Insights, and most recently, a health care consultant at Optum. She has primarily worked with hospital providers and policymakers, including through large-scale transformation projects with the NHS in the UK.

Outside of healthcare, Asya’s passions are Formula 1 and independent movies.

She has a talent for leading diverse teams and spearheading digital transformation in various sectors, which has enabled her to enhance global business strategies and expand revenue streams for partners such as Sanofi, Cipla, Mercedes Benz Group, and Amazon, to name a few. At 3 Billion Pairs, she identified key growth opportunities that contributed to the achievement of significant revenue goals.

In her strategic role, Sagarika has been a pioneer in the democratization of genetic testing. She has managed product portfolios and facilitated the launch of new oncology and theranostics brands. Her ability to unite stakeholders—including the NHS and insurers like Bupa—has been instrumental in delivering accessible genetic testing services. This underscores her commitment to promoting a future of proactive and personalized healthcare.

Abhijay Aggarwal

Abhijay holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Enginnering from Purdue University and has 5+ years of experience in the Medical device industry across the US, India and Singapore. Most recently, he has been director of operations for a medical device manufacturer making products for anesthesia, critical care and cardiac surgery.

Abhijay has a strong passion for the healthcare industry and is committed to helping the broader LBS community understand the opportunites in the sector.

Anokhi Patel

Growing up in India, Anokhi began a journey in medicine, aiming to make a difference in patient care inspired partly by a family business in radio-diagnostic services. Yet, a desire to impact healthcare more broadly and on a larger scale prompted a shift to business.

Now, as a student at London Business School, Anokhi aspires to merge medical insights with business strategies to better serve communities worldwide.

Her other passions include powerlifting and obsessing over her beautiful dog Hugo.

Shin Lim

Shin is a medical doctor with clinical, regulatory and early-stage investing experience in the healthcare sector. Prior to the MBA, she trained as an eye surgeon before joining Singapore’s Ministry of Health COVID response team where she developed lockdown and vaccine policies.

She then took up an opportunity in Clavystbio where she sourced and performed due diligence on early-stage investments in healthcare and life sciences.

Shin holds a medical and law degree from the University of Cambridge, UK.

An interest in the intersection of science and business led to pursuing the Master’s in Management at LBS.

Her journey before joining LBS was marked by her co-ownership of Eastern India’s most prominent fertility clinic, Abha Surgy, which was dedicated to the development of cost-effective treatment protocols tailored to cater to the expanding middle-class demographic within India.

She embarked on her professional path in the pharmaceutical industry through Dr. Reddy’s rotational management program, where she gained comprehensive experience by navigating various departments and honing her expertise in driving People Strategy.

Looking ahead, her enduring goal is to champion the cause of making healthcare more affordable and accessible, shaping a healthcare landscape that serves the broader population effectively.

Deepesh graduated from University College London with a bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery alongside a bachelors degree in History of Medicine. He recently became a consultant Dermatologist having complete his dermatology training at Addenbrookes University Hospital (Cambridge) with a specialist interest in skin cancer. He has previously worked in multiple specialties including oncology and renal care. He has signficant experience in quality improvement within healthcare systems (both in the UK and abroad).

Post MBA Deepesh is interested in a career in consulting within the healthcare industry./health tech opportunities. In his free time, Deepesh enjoys playing sports (football, tennis and squash) and loves to travel. He also enjoys exploring new cuisines and coffee shops around London.

Jocelyn Corey

Jocelyn graduated from Duke University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical/Computer Engineering after interning in the pharmaceutical industry for Amgen.

She worked for Plexus Corp as an Electrical Engineer, designing hardware for medical devices before moving on to Project Management. As a Project Manager, Jocelyn led teams of 20+ engineers to design and launch medical devices, including surgical visualization platforms, rapid PCR diagnostics, and blood analyzers, for customers around the globe.

Now, she is looking to further her career in healthcare by bringing her passion for health equity and international strategy to management roles in the industry.

Anshul is an entrepreneur having co-founded a pharmaceutical company in India. This company focused on the marketing and distribution of finished dose formulations both in India and on a global level.

Additionally, Anshul has worked in the start-up ecosystem in India, having worked with Stanford Angels and Anthill Ventures to help identify and scale early-stage start-ups.

Elena completed her Bachelor in Biomedicine at Imperial College in 2022; as part of her degree, she did a 6-month placement at Sixfold Bioscience, a biotech company with over >50mn in fundraising, where she recommended a market entry strategy for their novel RNA technology.

After university, she worked at a leading European private bank with over 100bn in assets under management for a year, where she created a healthcare investment strategy for private banking clients.

Passionate about bridging the gap between healthcare and finance, Elena aims to find better ways to finance biopharma innovation.

Rakesh Mistry

Rakesh is a Healthcare Scholar MBA 2025. He is an ENT surgeon by training with a longstanding involvement in healthtech and healthcare management.

He is an Included VC Fellow 2023, NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur since 2017 and an assessor for the NHS Innovation Accelerator. He has collaborated alongside healthtech companies including Mindstep, Tympahealth and Ambu.

In his surgical career, he has delivered presentations at 21 international/national conferences (winner of 5 awards), published 12 research articles, mentored doctors on 20 teaching courses and directed 3 national teaching courses as well as co-founding an award-winning global surgery initiative in Sierra Leone.

Yu graduated from the University of Tokyo in Japan with a Bachelor of Economics.

Prior to the MBA, he worked at Nippon Life Insurance Company as an actuary and asset manager. As an actuary, he analyzed data about life insurance accidents and calculated the expected profit and entailing risk of each life insurance product. As an asset manager, he decided on a long-term investment policy by optimizing the balance of risk and return.

Now, he wants to change his role to business development through CVC and is interested in the healthcare industry.

Hung Pham

Hung is a former Strategy& Manager with 5+ years of engagement experience across 5+ countries in South East Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Most notably, he was a part of the team who built growth strategy for a top 50 global university and healthcare centre (top 10 in Asia), as well as various strategy, CDD, and operating model design for pharma/healthcare clients.

During his time in LBS, he was also a NHS Fellow who was engaged on a pro-bono engagement with Northwick Park Hospital, interned with Avegen Health (a digital health platform startup by LBS alumni) and with Anya by LatchAid (an AI companion application backed by Dan Cobley, ex Google CEO), he also led MScan (an affordable medical device manufacturer in Uganda) to win the Humans to Humans accelerator program.

He is now also the Co-president of LBS Impact Investing Fund focusing on reforming the fund and scale up. He holds an Bsc in Maths with Economics from University College London

Ashley is a Paediatric doctor by training. She spent six years working across multiple NHS trusts across London, before embarking on her MBA at LBS with the support of the Laidlaw Women’s Leadership Fund and Healthcare scholarships.

She is pursuing an MBA to develop fundamental business skills and learn how business can intersect with medicine. She sees the combination of clinical experience and business acumen as a powerful tool to bring high-impact change in how healthcare is delivered.

Heejung is a systems biologist with 7 years of expertise in the AI drug discovery sector. Before pursuing her MBA, she contributed to Standigm, South Korea’s pioneering AI drug discovery company, where she spearheaded the development of an AI platform for therapeutic target identification.

Relocating to Cambridge, UK, she established Standigm’s inaugural international subsidiary and served as VP of Strategic Alliances. Here, she facilitated fruitful collaborations between UK and European enterprises and the company’s Korean headquarters.

Heejung holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Bioscience and Bioengineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology, South Korea.

Mahah is a computer science engineer; as part of her degree she built a voice enabled form filling application for the visually impaired.

She leveraged her technical skills in the field of healthcare at a diagnostic service company to build a non-invasive covid detection model as a low cost health service in rural India. She was also selected for the global venture catalyst program by UC Berkley, to perform an analysis on Sickle cell Anaemia in Sub Saharan Africa.

After her graduate degree she worked with KPMG to digitally transform financial services, where she honed the skill of extracting insights from data to create client specific solutions.

She hopes to use the skills she’s picked up from these diverse set of experiences to build a long term career in healthcare consulting.

Pallavi holds a Masters in Development Policy from the London School of Economics.

She is a global health specialist with six years of experience, spanning consulting and product development roles. At Deloitte, Pallavi led several consulting engagements comprising health policy assessments and supply chain evaluations for governments and bilateral organisations in South Asia. At the Economist, she managed product development for data products offering market intelligence to med-tech and pharma clients spanning Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Post LBS, Pallavi seeks to transition to a Product Manager role within a healthcare consulting firm to leverage data-driven insights and analytics to inform healthcare strategy and implementation for public and private stakeholders.

Currently, she is pursuing an MBA at London Business School as a Mo Ibrahim Foundation Scholar and aims to transition into a career in healthcare investing.

Odysseas is a medical doctor with experience in both the healthcare and the tech sector in the UK and the USA.

He holds a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins and a degree in clinical medicine from the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining the LBS MBA program he was a doctor for the NHS and was at the frontline of the COVID pandemic response in the UK.

He has worked in cardiology and intensive care and also in public health focusing on children’s early health programs. He is a member of the UK Higher Education Academy and has been a teaching fellow in his Cambridge college for the last 4 years.

Through his MBA he hopes to build on his knowledge and experience to expand innovations and access to healthcare and ensure accessibility to all.

Kashish pursued a Bachelors in management studies from India and is now a student of the MiM ’24 cohort at LBS.

She is a healthcare gender equality advocate, with a focus on maternal health, gender-based violence, and sexual and reproductive health services. She collaborated with the Planning Commission of India and their behavioral insight unit to distribute anaemia medication among women in rural India, to reduce maternal death rates during childbirth. Kashish’s fieldwork emphasized the need for innovation in healthcare.

She aims to improve healthcare access for future generations by minimizing border constraints.
